The police in the Ashanti Region have arrested two persons following a communal clash between Pankrono and Adabraka youth that led to the stabbing of one to death.
The deceased, identified as Kwame Owusu was attacked near a public toilet at Pankrono on Wednesday evening, October 18.
Several properties have been destroyed in a violent reprisal attack. The police had to be deployed in the area to prevent the situation from escalating. Residents say there has been a longstanding rivalry between the two groups but they cannot tell what could have triggered the latest stabbing incident.
Reports indicates that family of the deceased are demanding the arrest and prosecution of persons involved in the death of their relative.
