US$500, €590 stolen from the hotel room of Ghana Gas big man

New of missing monies have been trending in Ghana’s media space for some time. It started when Ghana’s former minister for Sanitation, Cecilia Dapaah dragged her house helps to court over missing 1 million United States dollars and many others.

As many Ghanaians are still wondering what that kind of money found its way into the room of the politician, another has been announced.

It has been reported that a big man at the Ghana Gas company has had his money stolen at a hotel room. The unnamed big man was part of Ghana’s delegation at the just-ended Russia-Africa summit lost some money from his hotel room.

A number of African leaders and government representatives participated in the in the summit which was held between 28th and 29th July 2023in the city of Petersburg.

A Ukrainian journalist Igor Sikho who announced that news indicated that some guests at the summit had thieves breaking into their hotel rooms whilst the even was ongoing. He adds that the Ghanaian big man whose name is currently unknown had his $500 and 590 euros stolen.

“Russia: 3 attendees of the Russia-Africa Summit from Ghana, Burundi, and Argentina found their hotel rooms burglarized in St. Petersburg. $500 and €590 in cash stolen from the hotel room of an executive from Ghana’s gas company,” his tweet read.

It is unknown the number of delegation who attended the summit from Ghana but many have started asking questions on why such an amount of money would be lost. They believe some big men in government are enjoying whilst the masses are suffering.
