I’m not president but my landmark policies are unmatched – Bawumia touts

Ghana’s vice President, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia has indicated that his contributions to the development of the country even as vice president is unmatched.

Speaking to delegates of the party in Donkorkrom in the Afram Plains North Constituency, Dr. Bawumia, who is currently aspiring to be elected as the Presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party indicated that he has introduced many policies in the country.

He says his achievements as Vice President has gingered his desire to be elected by delegates as the flagbearer to enable him continue as president after the 2024 election.

He adds that his desire to serve is not out of public gains but a pure public service.

“I am always driven by public service, not the desire for personal gains. It is the reason I am offering myself, first to be elected flagbearer of our party, and then I can offer myself to the people of Ghana so that I can continue to contribute towards the transformation of our country,” Dr Bawumia indicated to stakeholders of the party.

Dr. Bawumia has been tagged the digital vice president by made Ghanaians due to his several policies to enable Ghana to be introduced to the digital world. Some of these include the Digital Address system, Ghana Card, One Constituency one ambulance, digitization of the Ports, DVLA, Passport offices and many others. Including the agenda 111 policy.

Currently, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia is running the NPP flagbearaship race with nine other persons. The party will soon elect five too aspirants for the main primaries on November 4 2023.

Dr. Bawumia in imploring delegates to vote for him to enable him continue the good works.

“I have not been president, but as vice president, I have worked so hard and contributed significantly to the development of our country through landmark policies I have initiated and spearheaded,” Dr. Bawumia added.
