University of Alabama – Competitive Scholarships in Huntsville for students

International students who wish to study a degree program in the University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) are being called to apply for Competitive scholarships available in the school.

All undergraduate students with exceptional academic performances from their previous schools are being called to apply for the scholarships.

The scholarships which cuts across various programs are being funded through the generosity of friends and alumni of the University of Alabama, Huntsville.

Selection and eligibility of students are highly based on different forms of criteria including achievements and academic interests, demonstrated leadership and special talents. There is a scholarship board at the office of Financial Aid at the University who oversee the selection processes.
Below are some scholarships in the University which falls under the competition.

– UA Competitive Achievement Scholarship: This scholarship is available to first-time freshmen who meet the January 15 priority deadline. The scholarship package includes tuition for up to four years or eight semesters, a $1,000 per year supplemental scholarship for four years, and on-campus housing at a regular room rate for the first year.
– International UA Competitive Admissions Scholarship: This scholarship is available to international students who submit their application and supporting documents by the priority deadline. The scholarship value is up to $6,000 per year.
– Presidential Elite Scholarship: This scholarship is available to students with a 4.0+ GPA and 36 ACT or 1600 SAT. The scholarship package includes tuition for up to four years or eight semesters, on-campus housing at a regular room rate for the first year, a $1,000 per year supplemental scholarship for four years, a $2,000 one-time allowance for summer research or international study, and a $500 per year Supe Store book scholarship for four years.
– Automatic Merit Scholarships: These scholarships are available to students who meet the qualifying test scores and GPA. The scholarship values range from $6,000 to $28,000 per year.
– Freshman Supplemental Scholarship Application: This scholarship is available to main campus students who submit their application and supporting documents by the priority deadline. The scholarship value varies.
