Retain NPP for the sake of Free SHS – COP Alex Mensah

Retired Commissioner of Police, COP George Alex Mensah has called on Ghanaians to vote for the New Patriotic Party Government in the 2024 election to protect the Free Senior High School Policy. The controversial retired police chief made the call during an interaction with Asaase Radio.

COP George Alex Mensah has for some time now been in the news after a secret meeting he had with Bugri Naabu was leaked to the public. He has together with some other police officers and the IGP appeared before a parliamentary committee for a probe into the tape. He confessed to being a supporter of the New Patriotic Party but denied being a card bearing member.

He has since declared his intention to contests the Bekwai Constituency parliamentary seat of the New Patriotic Party (NPP). The decision has made many believe he has been a good standing member of the NPP whilst in the police service.

He indicates that the Free SHS Policy is by far the best intervention Ghana has ever hard and such the New Patriotic Party should be retain in 2024 to continue.

“I see the NPP as the best party that can help the country. The whole world knows what is happening. And we know what this government is doing to make sure that Ghana will be able to overcome all these problems. At least we still have free SHS, don’t we?” Mensah indicated.
