What began as a lucrative joint venture in the mining sector has degenerated into a high-stakes corporate showdown. Longshine Mining has officially refuted recent allegations of misconduct, turning the tables on its partner, Swed Mining, in a blistering statement.
According to leadership at Longshine Mining, the accusations leveled against them are nothing more than a calculated smokescreen. Instead, they claim Swed Mining is “trying to play smart,” utilizing heavy-handed tactics including land guards and police interventions to orchestrate an unlawful hostile takeover of their operations.
At the heart of the dispute is a legally binding joint venture agreement signed by both companies. Under the terms of the partnership, Longshine Mining was to bring its technical expertise, heavy machinery, and capital to the table, while Swed Mining provided local leverage and concessions.
However, Longshine management states that as soon as the operations became viable, their partner’s attitude shifted dramatically.
“We signed a transparent joint venture agreement in good faith,” a representative for Longshine Mining stated. “But instead of respecting the contract, Swed Mining chose to play smart. They wanted the benefits of our investment without honoring their side of the deal.”
The situation escalated from a boardroom disagreement to a volatile field confrontation. Longshine Mining alleges that Swed Mining bypassed legal dispute resolution channels entirely, opting instead for intimidation tactics.
According to eyewitnesses and company officials, Swed Mining allegedly stormed the mining site on 7th may 2026, at 5:50 am in the morning accompanied by armed land guards and members of the police force.
According to Longshine the security forces reportedly targeted and arrested Chinese expatriates and technical experts working for Longshine Mining.
And Immediately following the arrests, Swed Mining allegedly sacked the entire local workforce employed by the joint venture, leaving dozens of families without an income overnight.
Longshine claims that Swed Mining has since taken total control of the site and is currently making “unlawful use” of Longshine’s proprietary mining equipment and infrastructure.
Defending its reputation, Longshine Mining has vehemently denied any administrative or operational misconduct. The company maintains that it has operated strictly within the laws of the country and the parameters of the joint venture.
Longshine’s legal team is reportedly preparing a comprehensive lawsuit to address what they describe as a flagrant breach of contract, illegal trespassing, and the unlawful seizure of private property.
“You cannot use state machinery and illegal land guards to rewrite a contract,” said a source close to Longshine’s legal counsel. “The truth will come out in court, and we will reclaim our properties.”
As of the time of publication, management at Swed Mining has not released a formal response to these specific counter-allegations.
This is a developing story. Updates will be provided as more details emerge from the legal proceedings.
