Fully Funded International Scholarships for Women

In most countries around the world, women are seen as a key priority. A quota is set aside for women in some schools or businesses. When they make the offer, they are offered easy employment or entrance. However, because of poverty in most nations, some women are unable to complete their education. What most of them may not realise is that there are fully financed scholarships available in some notable countries that are specifically designed for women. These are pooled funds through which women from all over the world can apply for free education. Some fully financed scholarships for women are listed below.

AAUW international fellowship for women
Launched in 2004, the AAUW international fellowship for women is a fund pool designated for interested women who want to attain higher education. Women who are not United States citizens or apartments residents qualify for the scholarship fund pool. The fund support both graduated and non-graduate studies in accredited institutions. The scholarship values are $20,000 for Doctorate fellowship, $18,000 for Masters/Professional fellowship and $30,000 for post-doctoral fellowship.

Margaret McNamara Memorial fund for women
The Margaret McNamara Memorial Fund (MMMF) is basically designed for women in developing and middle income countries. The scholarship seeks to assist these women to attain professional education to improve the lives of women and children in their countries. The scholarship scheme is currently available in US, Canada, South Africa and Latin America.

UNESCO-L ‘Oreal Fellowship For Women in Science
UNESCO in partnership with L ‘Oreal offers scholarships to women who are into research and pursuing Doctoral and post graduates programs. The scholarship covers all fields of study including Ecology, genetics, neurobiology and biotechnology at any part of the world where these courses are offered. The fellowships are worth $15,000 to $60,000.

Schlumberger Foundation Faculty for the Future Fellowships for Women
The Faculty for the Future program, launched in 2004, awards fellowships to women from developing and emerging economies to pursue PhD or Post-doctorate studies in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) disciplines at leading universities worldwide. The grants are based on actual costs up to a maximum of $ 40,000-50,000 per year.

PEO International Peace Scholarship for Women
The International Peace Scholarship Fund is a program which provides scholarships for selected women from other countries for graduate study in the United States and Canada. The maximum scholarship amount for one (1) year of study is $12,500, based upon need. Lesser amounts may be awarded according to individual need.
