With few days to the super delegates congress of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) last minutes tactics are currently at play.

A few hours ago, videos of several hundreds of Ghana Cedis kept in a room went viral with many indicating Dr. Mahamdu Bawumia was ready to disburse the cash for delegates.

The allegations indicated that the vice president was ready to distribute the money to the super delegates to emerge victorious in the Saturday election.

But in a quick response, the camp of Ghana’s vice president, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia has called on the public to disregard the video of bundles of cash making rounds on social media.

Spokesperson for Ghana’s Vice President, Dr. Gideon Boako urged the public to treat the video as malicious propaganda triggered by opponents to paint the vice president black in the eyes of the public.

“It is so unfortunate that this old video has been adapted by opponents of Dr.
@MBawumia, who have maliciously captioned it and circulating it widely. This malicious propaganda should be treated with the greatest contempt.

“Dr Bawumia’s campaign has been conducted in the most frugal manner, as has been testified to by delegates,” he stted in a statement posted on Twitter.

“Team Bawumia urges the teams of other contestants, who can be clearly identified in the captioning and circulation of this video, to embark on genuine decent campaigns, devoid of lies, and mudslinging It is such a decent campaign that the NPP will benefit from,” the statement added.
