Workers of Oman FM and television have shared painful details of how their co-worker, Martin Kwabena Kwaakye, popularly known as Wofa KK died mysteriously after appearing on the Wednesday edition of the morning show. News of the passing of the veteran broadcaster went viral.
He is said to have collapsed shortly after appearing on the morning show. He was quickly rushed to the University of Ghana Medical Centre for medical attention but was pronounced dead on arrival.
Many Ghanaians have since expressed shock about his death as they are at a loss on how an energetic young man could die without any signal of an ailment.
According to his colleagues, the late Wofa KK was unable to report for work on Tuesday after reporting of being sick.
He was at the office on Wednesday where he shared his thoughts on the recent ministerial reshuffle presented to parliament by the President.
They indicate that whilst the show was on break, Wofa KK was spotted standing in a worrying position which got Mr Kennedy Agyapong, the director of TV worried.
He asked for help which got them to rush him to the hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival. The cause of his death is currently unknown.
