For some time now, former New Patriotic Party (NPP) Chairman, Bugri Naabu has been trending for a role he played in the recording of a private conversation with some top police officers.
The parliament of Ghana has since set up a bi-partisan committee to probe the recording from the secret meeting and some implicated officers have since been called to make appearance.
One of the officers, COP George Alex Mensah made several allegations during his appearance before the committee.
He indicated that he has regretted having a meeting with Bugri Naabu. He added that he trusted Bugri Naabu with his secrets but he ended up betraying him.
According to the police Chief, his Intel confirms to him that the current IGP, Dr. George Akuffo Dampare masterminded the recordings through Bugri Naabu and circulated it to the public space.
Speaking in an interview with Happy FM, a member of the New Patriotic Party Communication Team, Solomon Owusu indicated that Bugri Naabu is the chief gossip in the New Patriotic party.
He recounted many instances where Bugri Naabu recorded private conversations causing troubles among party members. He adds that Bugri Naabu’s eyes hates to see money.
“If you know Bugri Naabu, he is the number one gossip. Bugri Naabu’s eyes hate to see money. In 2015, it was Bugri Naabu who claimed on tape that Paul Afoko and Kwabena Agyepong had received money and V8 vehicles from John Mahama. Bugri Naabu played a role in bringing down Kwabena Agyepong and Paul Afoko,” he indicated.
