Akufo-Addo is out of ideas, his ‘anointed successor cannot be trusted as president’ – Mahama

The failure of the Akuffo Addo led new patriotic Party to address the challenges of the country is become a worry to the former President John Dramani Mahama.

He believes Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo has done little to address the growing hardships confronting Ghanaians under his reign.

The former president was speaking at an engagement between his party, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the Trade Union Congress of Ghana, on Tuesday, November 7, 2023.

He indicated that the president, that Akufo-Addo has now neglected his job of running the country and bettering the lives of Ghana.

He added that the president has announced to Ghanaians that his sole purpose now is making his “anointed successor” the next president of the country.

“We have a president who has run out of ideas on how to solve the economic challenges we find ourselves in.

“And by his recent declaration, his focus and last energies are going to be expended on installing his anointed successor as the next president,” he said.

Mahama, the flagbearer of the NDC, lamented about the fact that things are so bad that many Ghanaians can not afford three square meals a day.
