Rumors making rounds from the camp of Mr. Alan Kojo Kyerematen, a presidential candidate hopeful of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) indicates he might step down from the race.
Deep throat sources from the camp of Mr. Alan Kyerematen indicates that Alan Kyerematen might make a surprise announcement about his next line of action in the NPP race.
Mr. Alan Kyerematen shockingly secured less than one hundred votes in the super Delegates election of the party. He is part of the five candidates who were given the nod to contest the next leg of the election which includes the larger delegates’ population of the party.
He is set to address the country in the next few hours about his next line of action in the contest. Some persons within him camp have indicated that they are contemplating on giving up on the contest.
“We have had extensive review of the Super Delegates election, and to be honest, the numbers we registered across the country in the Super Delegates, were not what we expected. Even though we have publicly expressed our displeasure with the process, the reality is that things are not so good on the ground, and we have to honestly admit and take bold decisions.” The sources indicated.
The source further indicated that they are considering either to withdraw completely from the race or teaming up with other candidates.
“We are considering withdrawing completely, withdrawing to team up with another candidate, or continuing with the process, which doesn’t really look good for us. We have extensively analysed all the three and many, which I am included, are of the view that Chief Alan should withdraw, but we are not sure whether to withdraw and stay on the fence, or withdraw and stay one the fence.” The source added.
