Studying law can be very expensive in many parts of the world. Many students who are unable to pay for the huge fees in law schools in advanced countries are sometimes forced to abort their plans or look elsewhere.
There are however many universities in Europe where studying law is cheap. Finland, Sweden, Norway, Cyprus and many European countries have schools where internationals students can study law with free or low tuition.
1. University of Lapland (Finland): The Master’s Degree Programme in International and Comparative Law lasts two years and is taught in English.
2. Uppsala University (Sweden): Various law programs, depending on the student’s interests, lasting one to two years.
3. University of Oslo (Norway): Different opportunities without tuition fees, such as the Master’s degree in Theory and Practice of Human Rights, which lasts two years.
4. University of Nicosia (Cyprus): Recognized by the Cyprus Legal Council for practice in the legal profession.
5. Utrecht University (Netherlands): Prepares students as highly qualified, internationally oriented lawyers on the basis of modern didactic principles.
