Three suspects arrested over kwabenya robbery

Three individuals have been arrested by the Ghana Police Service through the National Operations Directorate (NOD) Surveillance Unit in connection with a robbery incident at Kwabenya in the Greater Accra Region.

The robbery occurred on January 18, 2026, when two armed men stormed a private residence in the area and made away with several valuables. Items stolen included two iPhone 17 Pro Max smartphones, a gold necklace, an Apple Watch, GH¢14,000 in cash, a car key, and an amount of US$300. The attackers also compelled the victim to log out of his iCloud account from one of the stolen devices.

Following investigations, the police apprehended Francis Amo, popularly known as Agogo, Anthony Boateng, also called Aisha Kojo, and Musah Ibrahim, known as Coded, who is believed to have received some of the stolen items. The suspects have reportedly confessed to their roles in the crime.

Police recovered one iPhone 17 Pro Max, an Apple Watch, and a Samsung Fold phone from the suspects. A further search conducted at the residence of Anthony Boateng uncovered several offensive weapons, including a truncheon, a short machete, knives, scissors, lighters, and a face shield.

The suspects remain in police custody assisting with ongoing investigations as authorities work to retrieve the remaining stolen property and track down any other accomplices linked to the robbery.
