Former Director General (Technical) of the Ghana Police Service, COP George Alex Mensah has indicated that he has not bad blood with the current IGP, George Akufo Dampare but disagrees with him on administrative issues.
Appearing before the Parliament bi-partisan committee on the probe of the leaked tape about a plan to oust the IGP, COP George Alex Mensah admitted having a meeting with Bugri Naabu and made some comments about the IGP.
After the tape was leaked, many have indicated that there could be a bad blood between the IGP and COP George Alex Mensah. The content of the tape indicates that the IGP could lead the NPP into opposition. He made comments indicating that the IGP is mismanaging the police affairs and needs to be removed.
“I don’t have any blood with the IGP but I’m someone who speaks my mind. Whenever there is something wrong, I speak my mind and if that is what he does not like about me, that’s fine”, he indicated
