The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has introduced a new slogan dubbed ‘breaking the eight’, this simply means that the usual eight year rule assigned for every political party in Ghana will be broken in the 2024 election.
The party is currently in search of leaders who can lead the elephant family to break the eight. The National Democratic Congress, the biggest political rival of the NPP have already decided and former president John Dramani Mahama is the man to lead.
The New Patriotic Party opened nominations for interested candidates to contest for the upcoming presidential primaries of the Party.
In all, eleven presidential hopefuls picked nomination forms to contest for primaries. At the close of nominations, ten of them successfully filed. Below are all ten hopefuls who filed to contest for the primaries.
