Fully Funded MEXT Scholarship for International students in Japan

Japan obviously remain one of the few countries in the world where development has been strategically implemented. The country is now well developed and has become a destination for many international students. People seeking job opportunities are also asked to choose Japan.

As part of efforts to ensure knowledge is impacted, the government of Japan has instituted many Scholarship schemes to support students from other parts of the world. The gesture is to ensure that students from other parts of the world are given the needed training to give back to their home countries. Those who wish to work after studying in Japan are also offered the opportunity to do so.

The MEXT Scholarship is awarded to many international students in the field of Masters, Undergraduate, PhD, and other training fields in any accredited university in Japan.

The MEXT Scholarship offers funding to cover full tuition of qualified students. They are also given allowances that covers accommodation, travel, and many other expenses to be borne by the government of Japan.

The MEXT Scholarship is spearhead by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology (MEXT).

The scholarship which offers many opportunities for African and other international Students are opened in April every year. Applicants must note that the Japanese language is not considered before being considered for the scholarship. With this, general knowledge in the English language will be a plus for all interested candidates.

Interested applicants do not need to travel to Japan to enjoy the scholarship but can visit the Japanese embassy in their home region to indicate their interests.

The Scholarship is opened in 2024 for interested applicants to grab all the opportunities that comes with it. Students will have their tuition fees fully covered and also enjoy other benefits including monthly stipends, preparatory allowances and many others including travel and accommodation expenses.

It is important to note that students from countries with diplomatic ties with Japan will be prioritized.  Undergraduate Students with ages 17 to 25 years and have completed 12 years of school education are considered.

 

Teacher training students who wants to apply for the scholarship must be under 35 years of age with a certificate from an accredited training college.

To avoid language examination, students can submit their English language proficiency certificate as a proof to be considered for the scholarship. With this, the scholarship body will accept them from language test.
