Sekondi Constituency Member of Parliament, Andrew Egyapa Mercer has asserted that the 2024 election of Ghana will be completely different from the by-election which saw the NDC candidate winning.
He believes despite the economic challenges, the economic recovery signs are positive for the New Patriotic Party to break the eight in the 2024 national election.
Speaking on Joynews File, the deputy Energy Minister indicated that the NPP has over the years proven that it is the best party to lead Ghana. “The NPP as always is the best that can manage the affairs of this country and this economy going forward,” he indicated.
The Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress, Sammy Gyamfi has indicated that the Assin North by-election was a clear indication that Ghanaians were fed up with the poor performance of the NPP government, and as such the 2024 election is a sure win for the NDC.
But Mr. Egyapa Mercer disagrees with this assertion.
“I don’t share the view that this is what is going to transpire in 2024 at all,” he reiterated.
He however noted that the Assin North by-election will help the party pick one or two clues in the future to help them reposition themselves for the next election.
